So yesterday I went to the DMV to re-new my Drivers License (like a regular ass American Citizen) . As many of you know, the DMV isn't really much like Disney Land, and definitely NOT the happiest place on Earth. During my wait for my number to be called I ran into these two super-gnarly people. Both of them were former skateboarders who grew up skateboarding during the early 70's in Oxnard. During our wait, we've had a hell of a conversation and non-stop chats about skating, music, photography and how Oxnard has changed over the years. It made my wait for DMV worth the wait for the first time. The dude was just too much into music/surfing/skateboarding. The lady would say she was a "tomboy" back in her days and "I would fuck shit up with my skateboard and still can." They really gave me a lot of tips about life and to take advantage while you're young..... After our conversation was over, I couldn't resist but to shoot a photograph of this lovely couple. Over the years they have probably changed in age BUT still remain young at heart. Way too gnarly. Respect to the old school.
